Magna Carta is a foundation aimed at producing research and reform proposals in six major areas: the reform of the State, foreign policy, economics and welfare, biopolitics, education, family and social integration, research and innovation. A research committee composed of experts and well-known personalities has the task of drawing up research projects and position papers. The Research Centre coordinates the work of each individual study area and is responsible for the Foundation’s output. It also organises research and legislative proposals, channelling to outsiders the documents that Magna Carta has prepared. Ideologically, the Foundation looks at classical liberalism, in the Anglo-Saxon tradition – as the name itself, Magna Carta, clearly illustrates. It believes in the possibility of confronting problems in a classical liberal perspective, with no prejudices whatsoever against change, but at the same time in the belief that tradition is a great resource to be safeguarded and exploited
