The Francisco Sa Carneiro Institute was created in 1980, on the initiative of several Portuguese distinguished personalities at politic, academic and social level. Its main goal was to help to consolidate the Portuguese democracy (following the Revolution of 1974) and to invest on the promotion of ideas and the formation of qualified people. At this moment, the Francisco Sa Carneiro Institute is in a process of updating its structures and intends to reinforce their activities in the field of formation, to create a interactive and very modern site (it will be launched during this month of November).
