Jarl Hjalmarson Stiftelsen

The Jarl Hjalmarson Foundation was founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 1994. The foundation promotes development, co-operation and European integration, on the basis of freedom, democracy and market economy. To support the development of democracy, trainings and seminars are organised in cooperation with political parties in a number of countries with fragile democratic systems.

The Jarl Hjalmarson Foundation is an independent entity with a close link to Moderaterna – the Swedish conservative party. It is a small organisation assisted by a dedicated body of volunteer lecturers. Priority is given to activities aimed at politically active women and youth. This approach is used to reach those who will occupy important political positions in their respective countries in the future.
