As every summer, FAES Foundation will be hosting its Annual FAES Campus in Navacerrada (Madrid), Spain. This year, the Campus will take place on July 2nd – 11th, 2010.
The summer course runs for ten days and brings together several leading experts from both Spain and abroad who will contribute with new viewpoints and ideas to be taken into consideration on issues pertinent to the present and future of Spain and the western world.
The 5th Annual Green Economics Conference "The age of Global Transformation - The Age of Green Economics" will take place at Mansfield College, Oxford University, Oxford UK.
The conference theme is Leadership Legacy: No Time Like the Present. By learning from keynote speakers who are committed to creating legacies through their work, and by participating in a choice of inspirational workshops, delegates will be enthused to think about what else they can achieve and contribute through their leadership capabilities and to start planning for this during the event. This conference is advertised by Dow Jones and Wall Street on their website leadership programme.
‘Closing the gap’ was the theme of the exchange meeting organised on the 12th of May in The Hague. Representatives of political foundations from the Netherlands focussed on the significance and social impact of their projects and activities in international aid assistance.
Representatives from eleven member organizations attended the Advanced Training Course on involvement in EC projects, held in Montagnac (FR) between the 7th and the 11th of June.
Developments in the Eastern Partnership and European Neighbourhood countries were the main topic of the council meeting of the European Forum for Democracy and Solidarity, hosted by the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung on the 11th of June 2010.
The Catalan ENoP member Catdem hosted the first internal training on project management in its premises in Barcelona.
A group of representatives from ENoP member foundations attended the 5th edition of ENoP Training Course on Involvement in EC projects "Instruments and thematic porgrammes of the EU in Democracy promotion and Development Cooperation", which took place in Chaudfontaine (Liege, Belgium) on the 26-28 April 2010.
The World Movement for Democracy (WMD) was established more than a decade ago as an international organization under US guidance to promote the cause of democracy throughout the world. One of its major activities is the organization of a bi-annual global meeting of practitioners and scholars in international democracy promotion.
Martin Ängeby, SILC, attended on behalf of ENoP, the Conference on Delivering Effective Political Party Assistance at Wilton Park, UK.
ENoP members met last Tuesday 16th of March at the premises of the Friederich Ebert Foundation, to attend an internal Orientation Seminar focusing on the EC Consultations and on Development Education.
