ENoP Orientation Seminar “Involvement of ENoP members in EC Consultations and Development Education” on March 16th

ENoP members met last Tuesday 16th of March at the premises of the Friederich Ebert Foundation, to attend an internal Orientation Seminar focusing on the EC Consultations and on Development Education.

The seminar registered a high attendance and relied on the presence of relevant speakers: Mr. Markus Pirchner, head of sector “Non-State actors”, unit “Relations with civil society and coordination”, Mr. Douglas Bourn, from the Development Research Centre Institute of Education, London and Mr. Tobias Troll, from DEEEP (Developing Europeans’ Engagement for the Eradication of Global Poverty).

The ENoP members could learn and discuss with Mr. Pirchner about the objectives and the opportunities represented by the NSA-LA thematic programme in the timeframe 2007-2013 and the Structured Dialogue Quadrilogue; they had a deep insight about Development Education in the context of a global society from Mr. Bourn and they could exchange with Mr. Troll about the DEEEP project, the multi stakeholders process on Development Education and the role of political foundation in this field.
