Partnerships of Local Authorities, Political Foundations and other Non-State-Actors: Success-models for effective democracy development and poverty reduction
- The Cambodian Example –
Between 2001 – 2008 the Konrad Adenauer foundation implemented the project “Provincial Towns in Cambodia” under the European Commission’s “Asia Urbs Program” in the framework of the Decentralization Strategy of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
The workshop shall highlight through the detailed analysis of a success story from such a partnership the opportunities and great perspectives offered by such partnerships. It shall encourage European Local Authorities, Political Foundations in the EU, other European Non-State-Actors and Development Cooperation Organisations/Agencies, to pay more attention to such partnerships.
