ENoP participated in the European Development Days 2008 in Strasbourg with the exhibition of best practice projects of its members.
The conference was followed by an exhibition. Members from all party families presented their projects in Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
The President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso emphasised his personel experiences concerning the work of political foundations in Portugal in the 1970s.
"Political Foundations in Democracy Promotion, Development Cooperation and Political Dialogue" - The first public conference of ENoP gave representatives of member organisations and their local partner the possibility to exchange views. The conference took place at the Bibliothèque Solvay, Brussels.
The Civil Society involvememt in the implementation and monitoring of the Joint Africa-EU Strategy and its Action Plan (2008-20010) was the topic of a meeting, organised by the the Slovenian Presidency , the Council Secretariat and the European Commission on 10 March 2008. On 15 March 2008 the Latvian Freedom and Solidarity Foundation organises its first forum in Jurmala near Riga. "How to democatize political parties? On the road to abolish political serfdom Latvia".
The breakfast in the European Parliament on February 27th was the first external event of ENoP. 20 guests from the European Parliament took the chance to meet representatives from ENoP.
The call for proposals for "Non-State Actors and Local Authorities in Development - Coordination Cooperation and Networking Activities in Europe" is open until 02.04.2008.
In the morning meeting of the General Assembly of 2007 Karina Chircu and Pièrre Ghilain from the European Commission DG, Europe Aid, presented the registration system PADOR.

Mariella Franz, Peter Köppinger, Eva Maaten and Susanne Stephan gave un introduction in the status of programming in most relevant programs of the European Commission concering democracy promotion and development cooperation.
